  • Town Updates/Reminders

  • - CLOSED: Senior Center, Park ’n Recreation Programs, and all town playgrounds. This includes tennis courts, basketball courts, pickle ball courts and the High/Middle School Track.

    - The Library is CLOSED to the public by offering limited services; take out/drop off with books and materials. Residents can return material (drop off only) at the front door or rear blue book drop. For information on Library services go to Westbrook Library

    - YMCA Closed – For information go to Westbrook YMCA

    - Transfer Station is Open, following its normal schedule.

    - Town Hall is closed to the public. If you need to conduct business with a town department, you need to contact them for an appointment. Do not come to the town to make an appointment. Department contact information is provided on the town website.

    - School Distant Learning has commenced. The School District is offering free lunches to their students (all grades) for pickup at Daisy Ingraham School from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm.

    - Reminder DO NOT throw antibacterial wipes down your toilet. They are not flushable and will cause septic dangerous and expensive repairs.

  • • Beaches have been and will remain open to the public regardless on one’s residency.

    • Social Distancing is imperative and will be monitored and enforced.

    • West Beach Parking lot to be open daily, beginning Friday, May 15, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. for WESTBROOK residents ONLY.

    Proof of residency will be required:
    - Tax Bill
    - A piece of mail with Westbrook address
    - Driver’s License (photo ID) will be “matched” with tax bill and mail

    IF YOU ARE A WESTBROOK RESIDENT, YOU ONLY NEED TO SHOW A DRIVER’S LICENSE (WITH A WESTBROOK ADDRESS) OR ANOTHER FORM OF PHOTO ID (WITH A WESTBROOK ADDRESS).

    *IF YOU ARE A HOMEOWNER BUT NOT A RESIDENT, YOU NEED TO SHOW A TAX BILL OR MAIL AND A PHOTO ID.

    • Face masks are highly recommended.

    • Park & Recreation Staff will distribute flyers clearly stating the rules; i.e. social distancing, groupings of 5 individuals or less, etc.

    Town Constables/Troopers will be present to address enforcement issues for the entire beach area (stone jetty to Elk’s Club).

    • The Board of Selectmen reserves the right to re-visit and adjust as necessary all of the above conditions.
